Yakuza Kiwami 2 confirms its release date for August in Europe and North Americ

SEGA has been present at the Gallery Nucleus event in California and has taken the opportunity to make a very important announcement related to 'Yakuza'. The surprise has been that 'Yakuza Kiwami 2' will finally see the light in the West after having confirmed when it will go on sale on PS4 in North America and Europe and will be next August 28.

The game is about a remastering of the original 'Yakuza 2' that was published more than ten years ago in Japan, where by the way this new version is available since last December, so it will reach us with enough time difference, but the important thing is that we will end up receiving it.

The graphical section of 'Yakuza Kiwami 2' will take advantage of the Dragon Engine graphic engine, the same one that has been used in 'Yakuza 6: The Song of Life'. Apart from having an excellent visual section, all the cinematics and dialogues have been doubled and there will be no missing the so characteristic and crazy minigames of the saga.

Another great news is that Kazuma Kiryu will not be the only protagonist. Goro Majima will become a playable character and we can play with him a new story that will be set between the previous 'Yakuza Kiwami' and this new one. In addition, Kamurocho will once again be the main stage, although at some point it will also be necessary to travel to Osaka.

'Yakuza Kiwami 2' will be priced at $ 49.99 and will be distributed in digital and physical formats. In this last case the first units, and those that are reserved in advance, will come inside a metal box in which Kazuma Kiryu will appear along with the villain of this delivery, Ryuji Goda.
