I've played Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox One X, one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever experienced on console
It is easy to understand the enthusiasm that exists in Microsoft for the arrival of Xbox One X. From the outside the vision is another, of course, it is inevitable to think about the scarce catalog of great exclusives that lie ahead. However the idea of the Redmond is clear, they want to sell to the public the possibilities of 4K and have the perfect commercial to whisper it in the ear: 'Forza Motorsport 7'.
Turn 10 Studios returns to the charge to get the chestnuts of fire to Microsoft with which, probably, is the current saga with more guarantees of the division Xbox. We do not just know it's going to be fun. After proving it live, we also know that 'Forza 7' is a marvel at a technical and visual level.
Forza 7 to 4K impresses. A lot
I would have needed a normal TV next door, a 1080 like the one I have at home, to know to what extent what was marveling at me was how good it looked or the game itself. Since then I have a crazy desire to take the glove, and is that without me being crazy about graphics, to see half as good and I would seem to dream.
I remember especially one of the first tracks I played, a walk through Suzuka in which the activation of the aids and assists saved me from more than one piss out of pot. It's not that I'm especially lame in this game of cars, it was inevitable not to be stuck with some situations.
Look at that ray in the distance, watch the waterwheel reflected in the puddles, watch the sun rise. It is spectacular. It's a visual orgasm. What has achieved Turn 10 Studios, how these people have the machinery of Xbox One and Xbox One X so well measured, I find it amazing. Even more so when the rest of the companies seem to continue to face one wall trying to keep their games stable at 60 frames per second.
Here are 4K, stable image rate and absolutely everything you want to throw at the stew. For other developers it must be an enviable position. For the players it is a real gift. Turn 10 is one of the few companies in this industry that, after promising the Moon, manage to dress it well enough to not only fulfill its promise, but also make it an unforgettable experience.
Not only graphics live Forza 7
Nothing new under the sun, after all. They already had the complicated task of selling us for the gossip Xbox One in their day with 'Forza 6' and now, with a new machine on the horizon, they are again responsible for making me rethink that maybe it is time to change of television.
But as I said, not only graphics live my vices. It is not the first game that enters my eyes and then ends up burning my hands. The funny thing is that, after the pleasant experience of his last delivery, he was not too clear what to ask 'Forza Motorsport 7'.
Neither has it been necessary. Turn 10 delivers an improved and expanded version of what we already saw at the beginning of generation with which it is impossible not to conform. 700 cars in front of the 450 of the sixth delivery, 30 scenarios with more than 200 combinations of tracks and a new campaign that turns the solo mode into a more varied, agile and entertaining experience.
As a driver, we must go beyond competitions and unlock vehicles to try to reach the top. Along the way it touches to personalize our avatar so that, based on cosmetics ranging from stickers to helmets and gloves, when our character climbs to the podium of the departure of our friends thanks to the Drivatar system, make it dressed as we want.
With prizes that will fall us from the sky after the races or unlockable with the coffers that we are buying with money of the game, the added one is favorable point and possibly entertained, but not even that and a new campaign would suffice to justify that instead of a 6 there is a 7 in the title.
The big changes of the new delivery
To give even greater changes take care of two aspects, the improvement of the immersion during the races and the praised change of meteorology. The first implies that everything moves in a special way, from how the camera follows the action until the pieces of the car rebound with each step adjusted by a chicane.
Also the sound, which with surround hoops is a spectacle in which the noises from the interior view are mixed with the music of the starting grid, whistling back and forth in your ears. Unfortunately for our pockets, there is a different 'Forza 7' behind each set of pots. And as expected, there is one that shines especially. And it's not cheap.
The enjoyment of the latter, which in addition to a sound equipment to the height also requires a 4K TV with HDR, also makes several integers to something as expected as the variable climatology. Start a race by visualizing how the rain falls in the distance and end up finding you with such a beautiful eggplant on the last lap.
But it does not only stay in the pretty, it is also the opportunity that you were looking for to overcome that car so aggressive that you have in front. An unattainable target a few corners further back, and a bomb about to explode when it maintains the same driving with the asphalt plagued by puddles.
It's impossible not to want to spend more time on 'Forza Motorsport 7' when the game hits stores within a couple of weeks. First to see if it holds the same kind of good in an Xbox One first batch and a TV 1080. Second so that, looking better or worse, all that matters little if it is still as deep and fun as it has shown me that can become.
