Your battery life can be significantly extended with the upcoming Apple Watch, but it has a trick.

Apple Watch's lack of autonomy has been criticized for years, if there is one thing. It is grievance No. 1. You will completely drain the battery in just one day of heavy use. Depending on the circumstance, the Apple Watch Series 8 battery lasted no more than two days. At least it was more efficient than the previous model and had an LTPO OLED screen with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.

Laughable time frames compared to the typical two-week usage of many Garmin or even smartwatches from Xiaomi, which can last up to a month if we don't use the always-on screen. According to Apple, this is the price of increased, accurate, and continuous monitoring. However, it appears that things are looking up: Apple is working hard to give the next Apple Watch more autonomy.

Balance is a key factor.

Bob Borchers, Apple's vice president of global product marketing, made the statement. In a recent interview for India Today he indicated that increasing autonomy is possible, but it comes at a cost in collecting biometric data. The company is trying to find a balance between features and battery life.

The company's lineup includes some products that still need more efficiency improvements. One of them is the Apple Watch, a fantastic health tracker that will also gain a lot from having more battery life. The business is also still investigating how to strike the best balance between functionality (real-time body and health tracking for features like heart alerts or fall detection) and battery life.

According to India Today, while fast charging is one of Apple's bets, even though this is a line of research, it greatly facilitates getting the Apple Watch ready quickly. Fast charging allows you to reach 80% of your battery capacity in 45 to 45 minutes, says Borchers. Because of this, it's possible that the subsequent Apple Watch will be able to reach that 100% charge even faster.

And let's not forget that the Apple Watch Ultra can go up to 60 hours. Anyway, an hour to fully charge a battery is fantastic. However, not having to look for the charging adapter for a full week would be even better. I hope that one day my wish will come true.
